Diary from October 1861 through October 1865 details camp life, gives lists of wounded and killed, and gives detailed accounts of battles of Stone River, Corinth, Chickamauga, Atlanta and Franklin, Tenn. Also includes letters from two veteran friends detailing memories of certain battles. A short history of Pratt's military career written by him. A short memoir of his overland trip from Chicago to Montana in 1866, describing the trip, the land and the forts and experiences along the way.
